For the trip we went to the Tate modern gallery to see some street photography.
We went to see the work of two street photographers, Harry Callahan and William Eggleston.
It was fun taking pictures on the streets but i was still quite nervous while taking photos of people.
A gave a little bit of a confidence boost.
Yes because i saw lots of different types of street photography.

Harry Callahan
This is a mixture of two images turned in to one making it look very surreal. Like all his picture is black and white in colour causing the image to have a combination of light and dark another on of his techniques. It almost looks like something reflecting of a window. In this image is one of his three themes which is people. His wife became his most photographed subject appearing in the city, indoors and at the beach in the water. Also from what i've seen he really likes to take pictures of city landscapes, capturing images of large structures and the busy city life. |
William Eggleston
Was mainly know for making colour photography become recognised. Is an suburban street photographer mainly focusing on people, cars, and gas stations. This image clearly shows/focuses one of his themes 'cars'. The image also shows the rich colours of the cars in the picture. The car on the right is reflecting the sky on the side of it. The image is also quite bright. The picture seems to start off dark at the bottom because of the positioning of the shadow but the gets brighter. |
